My Story & Why I Created Eiren AI

I never planned on building an app.

It wasn’t some grand idea that hit me overnight. It was something that slowly emerged, starting at the end of 2023, and gradually took over more and more of my attention. What you see today is so different from my original vision. It’s changed a lot. (And the first screenshot isnt even the first version)

For a while now, I’ve been really into mindfulness, spirituality, and living a healthier, more holistic life. Btw I live in Zürich, Switzerland, practice Kung Fu, meditate for about four hours a week, and have tried a lot of different practices that have helped me in my own life. I’ve always been a sensitive person, and some things can overwhelm me pretty fast. My high sensitivity and empathy are my greatest strengths, but they can feel like a weakness too.

When I’m in the right space with the right people, I’m optimistic and full of energy. But normal society was draining me. A few years ago, I just felt stuck and overwhelmed. The job I had and the life I was told to live didn’t feel right, and I was searching for clarity. (I worked 7 years in IT as a System Engineer, the skills I learned during this time truly helped in developing this app! So everything that I learned led me here - It all made sense in the end.)

Journaling and meditation became my lifelines. They helped me sort through my thoughts and figure out what actually mattered. The only problem was, my tools were scattered everywhere. I had a physical book for journaling, a separate app for meditations, and sticky notes all over my desk for tasks and goals. It felt fragmented and exhausting.

I just wanted something better, something simpler. That’s when the idea for Eiren AI started to form.

I imagined a single space—a place to return to yourself—for people who feel lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected like I did. A place to capture your thoughts, meditate on your worries, and plan your dreams – without the chaos. With AI integrated into every aspect, personally tailored to you. This is the app I needed myself.

So, after a few failed attempts at other side hustles—mostly because they didn't truly fulfill me—I started building this app. I poured everything I’ve learned from my own journey into it.

I’ve spent well over 1000 hours on this over the last two years. I did it all myself: Marketing, Website Development, App Design, App Development, Social Media etc. It’s been a journey of learning, building, and rebuilding.

I’m turning 24 soon, and I’m really happy with where I am and what this has become. But this isn’t the end. I’m not going to stop developing it. I’m happy to have you here.
